How Spirit Speaks and the Strength of Unexpected Guides
Snapshots from the Field: How Spirit Speaks… and the Strength of Unexpected Guides
Spirit doesn’t always speak in words.
Sometimes, it shows up in ways you don’t expect.
For me, that conversation began in simple ways.
Animals appearing at just the right moment.
Number sequences repeating until I couldn’t ignore them.
At first, I would look everything up, trying to understand what it all meant. Over time, that shifted. I learned to feel into the message instead of searching for it, and that’s when the communication truly deepened.
Spirit speaks in presence.
And sometimes, that presence comes through in ways you might not expect.
As part of my own spiritual practice, I work with dragons. I have a large, ancient black dragon that is connected to me and supports me in my work. While that may sound unusual at first, the energy of dragons is something I am seeing more and more in sessions… especially when strong, grounded support is needed.
Recently, I had the distinct honor of witnessing a powerful connection unfold.
During a session, a client was having difficulty staying grounded. Their awareness was moving quickly, shifting from one place to another, making it hard for their body to fully settle and receive.
So we slowed everything down.
No rushing. No jumping ahead.
Just grounding… again and again… until they were fully present.
And then… a dragon came in.
The energy was unmistakable.
Stoic. Steady.
A quiet, unwavering strength that simply held its position.
There was no urgency, no overwhelm… just a grounded presence with a subtle frequency of love woven through it. It didn’t get pulled into distraction or emotion. It held the line and helped them do the same.
It was clear this dragon was there specifically for them.
At one point, as they were describing what they were seeing, I gently asked them to look around and notice if any other dragons were present.
They paused and then said,
“Yes… I see another dragon. It’s… drinking tea.”
I couldn’t help but laugh…
Because that was my dragon.
I had quietly invited my own dragon to step in if needed, and there it was… completely calm, completely unbothered, casually observing the session with what felt like a very “no-nonsense” presence… and apparently a cup of tea.
I waited until the session was complete to share this, and when I did, there was an immediate sense of validation.
They later shared that the dragon they connected with carried a very specific, recognizable quality… one that matched something they had previously been told about their own energy field.
Not random.
Not imagined.
Aligned.
And that’s one of the things I love most about working with this kind of energy.
Yes, dragons are powerful.
Yes, they are strong and incredibly clear.
But they can also meet us in ways that are surprisingly light, even a little playful, while still holding a deep level of wisdom and support.
In this session, the dragon wasn’t there to take them somewhere else.
It was there to help bring them back…
back into their body
back into the present moment
back into themselves
By the end, they were grounded, steady, and connected in a way that felt sustainable… something they could return to again and again.
Experiences like this remind me that the support available to us is far more intelligent, and far more personal, than we often realize.
Sometimes it shows up in ways that are strong and structured.
Sometimes it shows up in ways that make you smile.
Either way, it’s there.
And when you begin to notice it… things start to shift.
This is the kind of work that unfolds in session… often in ways you don’t expect.
