Cliffs of Dover
Snapshots from the Field: The Cliffs of Dover
What came through…
This one made me laugh a little.
I was working with someone who had been moving through a lot of change. Big shifts, the kind that you choose… and then have to fully walk through on the other side.
We were focusing on grounding, just bringing her back into her body, helping her settle after everything she had been navigating.
And then something came through.
I paused for a moment and said,
“Okay… this might sound a little strange, but I’m feeling this really strongly.”
I told her I could see her standing at the top of the cliffs of Dover.
The ocean stretched out below her, the wind was strong, and her hair was blowing back behind her.
Before I could say anything else…
She sat straight up on the table and said,
“I can’t believe you just said that.”
Moments like that never get old.
Not because of the surprise…
but because of the confirmation.
There are times in this work where something comes through so clearly, so specifically, that it bypasses logic entirely. It lands in a way that is immediate and undeniable.
What I was seeing wasn’t just a place.
It was a moment.
A threshold.
That space right before everything changes… and you realize there’s no going back.
The wind. The edge. The openness.
All of it held the energy of where she was standing in her life.
My work continues to show me that these images, these sensations, these “snapshots”… they aren’t random.
They meet people exactly where they are.
And sometimes, all it takes is hearing it out loud…
to feel it fully.
